#3-The Impact of the Recession on Teens
I think this is major stuff. I’ve already been affected by this. I’m going eco-friendly now. I’ve been riding my bike instead of taking my mom’s car everywhere. I’m also putting a little group together (opened to anyone that knows me and that wants to join). The group and I will be going around and helping our area be cleaner and jobs that some other people might need help in doing. We really want to clean up this city and show everyone that it takes only one person to make a difference.
I think it’s going to get worse. I really don’t have proof, but my friends have a motto, “Expect the worst and hope for the best”. That’s what we’re doing right now and hopefully, HOPEFULLY it’ll get better because my mom isn’t from here and i just hope that she can keep her job and that we will get to stay here. I also really hope that we show the people that anyone can make a difference and help us teens in helping and making our community a better place.
I guess you could call our little project preparing for the worst. Not only that, but saving money and riding your bikes might do some good. Like Obama said, “If we can change a mind, we can change a community. If we can change a community, we can change a state. If we can change a state, we can change a country. If we can change a country, we can change the world.”. I don’t remember word for word that he said, but it was something like that. And it was what inspired me to do this little project.

That’s an amazing philosophy. I love your idea of eco-friendly. It’s a great way to turn around even just part of our country. I’d be interested to know more about it and how it’s going. I might be interested in it.
